Every team over a 3.2, 270 recognized as SCIAC All-Academic

The SCIAC recognized 270 Chapman University student-athletes on its annual All-Academic list. Collectively, Panther student-athletes raised the bar for academic achievement as every team achieved a 3.2 team GPA or better.

Chapman Athletics and the Chapman Student-Athlete Advisory Committee hosted the Second Annual Student-Athlete Awards with 21 team and individual awards handed out to honor on and off field achievements.

Carlson leads cross country at regionals

Annika Carlson had another solid performance to end the season and lead the Chapman University cross country teams at the NCAA Division III West Region Championships on Saturday. The Panthers sent seven runners to the regional meet, hosted by Whitworth University.

Men’s and women’s cross country took to the track to compete in the SCIAC Championships this morning, Saturday, Oct. 29 at Claremont-M-S.

Bothwell named SCIAC Cross Country Athlete of the Week

On Monday, Oct. 24, Gil Bothwell was named SCIAC Cross Country Athlete of the Week. Bothwell broke the school record for the 8k at this past week's John Elder's Invite at Cal State Fullerton. He finished with a time of 25:25.3, shattering the previous record by 28 seconds.

Carlson leads the way for cross country

Men’s and women’s cross country traveled to its third meet of the season on Saturday, Oct. 15 at UC Riverside. The women finished 17th out of 26 opponents, and second out of the five SCIAC schools, topping Occidental, Redlands and Cal Lutheran. The men finished 20th out of 25 schools, defeating Cal Lutheran.

Kotz leads cross country teams at Cougar Challenge

The Chapman University cross country teams continued the 2022 season at the Cougar Challenge in San Marcos, Calif. Tasha Kotz was the Panthers’ top individual finisher and began her season with a new personal-best.

The Chapman University cross country teams began the 2022 season at the Mark Covert Classic. The men’s team placed eighth among 13 teams while the women’s team sent four runners.
