Chapman Athletics hosted another Town Hall on July 28 for student-athletes and their families to deliver updates and answer question on the impact of the cancellation of high-risk sports through the end of the school year.

In accordance with public health guidance and safety standards, as well as NCAA Resocialization recommendations, the SCIAC Presidents have unanimously agreed to cancel conference competition for NCAA categorized high-contact risk sports in the fall semester.
Chapman sets new high for SCIAC All-Academic selections

Nearly half of Chapman University student-athletes were recognized when the SCIAC released its annual All-Academic list today. Chapman set a new program high with 250 SCIAC All-Academic selections, far surpassing the previous high of 221.

Men's water polo earns academic recognition

The Chapman University men’s water polo team earned academic recognition from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches. The Panthers earned team recognition along with 11 student-athletes earning individual recognition.

The Chapman University men’s water polo team (11-15, 7-5 SCIAC) earned a huge 13-9 senior day victory over the visiting Cal Lutheran Kingsmen (14-11, 7-5 SCIAC) earlier this afternoon. Junior Hunter Ramaekers led the squad, scoring a season-high four goals in the effort.

The Chapman University men’s water polo team snapped a five-game losing streak with a 14-9 win over Caltech earlier this evening. Nine different Panthers scored goals while freshman goalkeeper Owen McNicholas put up a career-high eight saves.

The Chapman University men’s water polo team fell in an early hole and never recovered as it fell 11-6 to visiting Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday. Sophomore Graham Asalone scored four of the Panthers’ six goals.
