Reid crushes old PR to place in top-50 at West Regionals

A strong effort and another personal record by Chapman University freshman runner Chris Reid was good enough for 43rd place as six Panthers competed at the NCAA Division III West Region Championships for men’s and women’s cross country on Saturday at the Oak Knoll Golf Course, hosted by Willamette University (Ore.).
Reid cracks top-30 at SCIAC Championships

Freshman runner Chris Reid earned a personal record and placed 29th overall for Chapman University in the SCIAC Cross Country Championships at Prado Park on Saturday morning. The rookie was the Panthers’ top finisher out of 134 runners in the men’s race with a time of 27:30.3 in the 8K.

A core group of six returners along with 16 new faces make up the Chapman University men’s and women’s cross country team in 2012, which begins its season on Saturday, Sept. 8 at the UC Irvine Invitational. Of the Panthers’ six returners, just two are upperclassmen and there are just three upperclassmen overall on the team’s roster.
Chapman Athletics announces staff additions for 2012-13

Effective August 1, Chapman University Athletics has added some new and familiar faces to its coaching staff for the 2012-13 school year. Most notably, the Panthers have retained women’s lacrosse head coach Brian Eisenberg ’99 to lead the program into its first year of varsity status and play at the NCAA Division III and SCIAC levels.
