Fall athletes recognized on SCIAC All-Academic teams

Chapman University student-athletes were well-represented as the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference named its All-Academic teams by sport for the fall season. Leading the way for the Panthers was football, which garnered 15 honorees. In all, there were 49 Panthers recognized which ranked third among the nine SCIAC institutions.

Ramirez, Reid earn All-Region honors at West Regionals

The Chapman University women's cross country team placed 13th overall at the NCAA Division III West Regionals, hosted by Willamette University (Ore.) on Saturday morning. Sophomore Cathryne Ramirez and junior Chris Reid earned All-Region honors by placing in the top 40 finishers in the women's and men's races, respectively.

Cross country earns school-best team finish at SCIAC Championships

The Chapman University women’s cross country team earned its highest-finish ever at the SCIAC Championships on a soggy Saturday morning at Prado Park, earning a sixth-place finish and narrowly missing fifth place by a single point in the overall scoring.

Women's XC takes sixth at SCIAC Multi-Duals

The Chapman University women’s cross country team continued to show marked improvement within the conference, earning a sixth-place finish at the SCIAC Multi-Dual Meet at La Mirada Park on Friday afternoon. The Panthers had four runners place among the top-50 finishers, led by sophomore Cathryne Ramirez who crossed the finish line less than one second shy of the school record in the 6 kilometers.

The Chapman University women's cross country team placed 11th out of 17 teams at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational on Saturday morning, while the Panther men did not place.

Women's cross country places seventh at UCR Invite

Mid-morning, high-90 degree weather didn’t slow the Chapman University men’s and women’s cross country program in its opening meet at UC Riverside on Saturday. The Panther women earned their best team finish ever in the 5K Collegiate Open, placing seventh out of 20 teams.
