Five Panthers land on All-SCIAC teams

The Chapman University football team placed five seniors on All-SCIAC teams, the conference office announced on Monday. Jeremiah McKibbins, Sean Myers and Alex Rorie all earned a spot on the First Team while Hunter Peterson and Drew DeMarco earned Second Team honors.

Four forced turnovers turned into 13 crucial points as the Chapman University football team defeated the visiting Redlands Bulldogs 27-13 to move back to .500 in the SCIAC. Back in front of its home crowd, the Chapman defense turned in a solid performance to lead the Panthers (3-5, 3-3 SCIAC) to the victory.

Chapman University junior Conner Larkin earned Academic All-District honors from College Sports Information Directors of America on Thursday, Nov. 5. With Larkin's nod on the football Academic All-District team, he becomes the second Chapman student-athlete to earn the award.

Senior Jeremiah McKibbins’ record-breaking game has earned Chapman’s star running back SCIAC Athlete of the Week honors. McKibbins continued to rewrite the Chapman record book on Saturday with the biggest game of his career and led the panthers to a 49-21 win.

It wasn’t until the final minute that the Chapman University football team fell behind. After Chapman (1-4, 1-2 SCIAC) led for the majority of the game, Occidental scored the final 22 points of the game to come away with the 35-27 win.

Record breaking day for Chapman at Pomona-Pitzer in 35-13 victory

The Chapman University football team celebrated Coach Bob Owen’s 50th Panther win, in a 35-13 victory over Pomona-Pitzer Colleges in Claremont on Saturday afternoon. Senior Jeremiah McKibbins rushed for a total of 79-yards to become the Panthers All-Time Leading rusher with 2,370 yards in his career while Coach Owens become the winningest football coach in Panther history.
