Freshman Darcy Hardwick broke a three-year-old school record in the 400-meter dash over the weekend as the Chapman University women’s track and field team competed at the UC San Diego Triton Invitational, the team’s last meet of the season.
Fruci finds a fast track at Soka Invitational

Sophomore sprinter Rose Fruci showed off her wheels, having her best meet of the season as Chapman University competed at the Soka University Peace Invitational on Saturday. Fruci set a career-best in the 100 meters and ran her best 200 meters of the season as the Panthers set four different personal records in the meet.

The Chapman University women’s 4x800 meter relay team eclipsed a 6-year old school record on Saturday, finishing the race in a time of 10:46.53 at the Burns Track & Field Complex as part of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 2012 Rossi Relays.

Freshman Darcy Hardwick broke a 15-year old Chapman record in the long jump with a final jump measuring 5.19 meters at the Pomona-Pitzer All Comers event on Saturday afternoon in Claremont. The previous record was held by Natalie Neat with a jump of 5.02 meters in 1996.
