  • Women's tennis falls to Bates

    The Chapman University women’s tennis team fell 7-2 to visiting Bates on Tuesday. The Panthers (1-1) dropped two tiebreakers in doubles to start the match and weren’t able to swing the score back in their favor.
  • Ross earns SCIAC weekly recognition

    Freshman Madison Ross was selected as the SCIAC Athlete of the Week after she led the women’s tennis team to a 5-4 victory over the visiting Biola last Thursday afternoon. The rookie won both of her matches on the day, starting out with an 8-3 doubles victory in the No. 3 match. Ross moved on to the singles, where she defeated Madison Swaney from Biola in a come-from-behind 3-6, 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-4) match.
  • Women’s tennis wins season opener with come-from-behind third-set victory

    The Chapman University women’s tennis team won its 2018 season opener 5-4 against Biola earlier today. Freshman Madison Ross defeated Eagle freshman Madison Swaney in a come-from-behind 3-6, 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-4) victory in the No. 2 match.
  • Women's tennis brings youthful outlook to new season

    Youth will be the predominant factor of the 2018 season for the Chapman University women’s tennis team. The Panthers welcome 12 freshmen to the roster with no seniors and just two returners.
  • Chapman dedicates Lastinger Tennis Center

    Chapman University held its formal grand opening of the brand new Erin J. Lastinger ’88 Tennis Center on Oct. 7. The new $5.3 million facility is located across from Marion Knott Studios on the corner of N. Cypress  St. and W. Palm Ave.
  • Ross posts winning record at West Regionals

    The Chapman University men’s and women’s tennis teams headed out to Claremont to compete in the ITA Division III West Regional this past weekend. Sophomore Lee Sadler led the men’s side, earning a spot in the round of 32. Freshman Madison Ross led the women’s side, going 3-2 on the weekend and advancing to the round of 16.
