Athlete of the Week: Julie Case - Women's Swimming

The sophomore set school records in the 200, 500, 1,000 and 1,650-meter freestyle distances and was a member of three other school-record breaking freestyle relay teams over the weekend at the PCSC Championships. For her efforts she earned a "B" cut to Nationals, and became the first swimmer in school history to medal at the PCSC Championships and be named PCSC Division III Swimmer of the Meet. On Saturday, Case broke records in the 1,000 free and 1,650 free by more than 30 seconds in each. She swam the 1,000 in 10:30.74 which ended up being 35 seconds faster than the previous time. She then swam the 1,650 in 17:24.94, just under a minute faster than the old record.
