Senior Caleb Wilkins went 2-1 at ITA Cup over the weekend to boost his national profile. Wilkins was the first Chapman men’s tennis player to compete at the national tournament.
Chapman University student-athletes set a new school record with 281 individuals earning SCIAC All-Academic recognition. The 281 individuals to earn the annual academic recognition are 22 more than year’s record-breaking number. The SCIAC annually recognizes student-athletes who have been at their institution for at least one academic year and finished the school year with a 3.4 cumulative GPA or better.
Caleb Wilkins was selected to the All-SCIAC First Team after a standout season leading the Chapman University men’s tennis team. Wilkins played every match at the top of the Panthers’ singles and doubles lineup.
The Chapman University men’s tennis team closed out the 2022 season with a 5-4 win over visiting Occidental on Sunday. The Panthers erased a doubles deficit to claim the season-ending victory at the Anderson Tennis Center.

Cole Kershner
Cole anchored the 400 free relay with the fastest split in the SCIAC this year and nearly brought the win for Chapman. He also helped the Panthers tally some points as he swept the individual sprint freestyle events. He won the 50 free with a 21.26 and captured the event victory in the 100 free with a 47.47.
