Senior Cat Helgeson and junior Julin Kenison were selected to the All-SCIAC teams, announced on Monday by the conference. Helgeson was honored for the third time in three years and Kenison finished her first season with Second Team honors.
Women’s volleyball’s senior day festivities were capped off with a convincing 3-0, 25-22, 25-21, 25-22 sweep of the Occidental Tigers on Saturday, Oct. 29.
Women’s volleyball showed out against another tough ranked opponent in the No. 24 UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs, losing 3-1 in four close sets on Friday, Oct. 21.
Women’s volleyball fought hard against the top-ranked Claremont-M-S Athenas, nearly scoring the first set off of the Athenas in conference play, falling 3-0 Tuesday, Oct. 18 with set scores of 25-16, 27-25 and 25-16.
ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Kiana had a historic weekend for their Panthers in their two-day meet, breaking five individual records, and two school records. In fact, she broke a record every time she landed in the water this weekend. Kiana broke the 100 Fly and 200 Fly records, the 200 Fly record set in 2004 by Kati Wise. She helped the women's medley and free relay teams set school records. She also set the fastest 50 and 100 fly splits in school history, breaking the 50 split record twice on the weekend.
