Athlete of the Week: Kelley Klebenow - Women's Tennis

Klebenow led Chapman to a fifth-place finish at the SCIAC Championships with a 2-0 record in singles and 3-0 mark in doubles on the weekend. In singles, the senior won on the No. 5 court 6-1, 6-1 against Cal Lutheran on Friday. She then won 6-2, 6-0 as the No. 6 player on Saturday against Whittier. Klebenow is second on the team with a 14-4 mark in singles matches this season, including an 11-2 record in her last 13.

Alongside junior Sophia Duong, the duo went 3-0 in doubles competition. In two matches on Friday, the duo won 9-7 against Redlands and 8-1 against Cal Lutheran. They completed the weekend sweep with an 8-3 doubles victory over Whittier on Sunday. Klebenow and Duong are now 16-3 in doubles on the year.
