Senior Marco Saglimbeni netted a pair of goals to push the Chapman University Men’s Soccer team to a 5-3 win over No. 8-ranked Christopher Newport on Sunday at Wilson Field. Tied 3-3, with just under 15 minutes left in the match, the senior scored the game-winner off a cross from freshman Justo Garcia. Just three minutes later, the insurance goal came off a cross from freshman Jonah Tipp to seal the 5-3 victory for the Panthers. Saglimbeni recorded two shots on the week, finishing both of them to lead the team with four points. The senior has played in all seven games, starting six of them while scoring three goals this season.
