William Crewe already had a record-setting career but he furthered his legacy last weekend by making more history. He became Chapman’s first male SCIAC champion and the third Panther to win a SCIAC title in swimming & diving.

Crewe broke the school record with a winning time of 49.96 in a race for the ages. He edged out the competition by one one-hundredth of a second to claim the historic title for Chapman.

While his title-winning swim was the highlight of the weekend, he made the finals in each of his three individual events and broke another school record. He finished fourth in the 200 back with a school record time of 1:50.58 and fifth in the 200 IM with a 1:52.25. He now owns four different individual school records.
