Bio

Pam has served as Chapman's Director of Athletic Training & Sports Medicine since 1998 after seven years as the assistant athletic trainer. She teaches in the Athletic and Athletic Training departments as well as for the American Red Cross and American Heart Association. She is a member of the NATA, ACSM and AHA.

Pam started her athletic training career in 1984 as a student-athlete at Santa Ana College. While at Santa Ana College she was an All-American swimmer, head student athletic trainer traveling with the men’s and women’s basketball, softball and football teams. She also performed fitness evaluations in their human performance lab. Pam continued her internship at SAC while obtaining her bachelor's degree in physical education and athletic training from California State University, Fullerton.

In 1988 she left her position at Santa Ana College to become the head athletic trainer at Los Alamitos High School. While at Los Al, Pam worked with the Orange County All Star Football, North Team.

She graduated from CSUF in 1989 and passed the NATA certification exam that same year. In 1991, Pam became the assistant athletic trainer at Chapman University. Pam earned her master's degree in educational leadership and administration from Chapman with her culminating project addressing the teaching and learning of attitudes and values in athletic training curriculum.

Pam is an adjunct faculty member of the Crean College of  Health and Behavioral Sciences teaching in the Master’s in Athletic Training Program.   She also serves as a member of the BOC Exam Development Committee. Pam resides in Orange.
