Bio

Perrino returned to Chapman as the Assistant Sports Information Director and Recreational Sports Manager in March 2022, just ten months after his graduation in May 2021. Fall 2022 marks his first full season with the department. With the Panthers, Perrino helps to oversee all 23 of Chapman's varsity sports programs while assisting in all facets of the operation. His main functions include content creation, website management, statistical input, and production of Chapman's athletic video production.

Post-graduation, Joe worked as an Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant at the University of La Verne. While at La Verne, Joe was second in lead during the fall season. He helped coordinate statistical information and produce multi-camera streams for five of La Verne's sports. During the winter season, Perrino was the primary contact for the Men's and Women's Basketball teams, as well as the swim team. He helped write game recaps, announce, produce social media content, and operate streaming software.

During his time at Chapman, Joe served as a sportswriter and sports editor on The Panther newspaper. He earned finalist honors in the SPJ Mark of Excellence awards for a piece he wrote his senior year. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies from Chapman in 2021.
