Baseball headed to Spokane Regional

ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University baseball team is headed to Spokane, Wash. to begin the 2018 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship. The Panthers won the SCIAC Tournament a week ago to earn the automatic bid into the national tournament.

After their championship run, the Panthers launched up to the top of the regional rankings and will go into the Spokane Regional as the top seed of the six teams at the regional. Chapman finished the regular season 34-11 and went 15-1 against teams outside of the SCIAC.

The Panthers will be joined by Redlands, Concordia, Texas Lutheran, Willamette and UT-Dallas at the regional site and will open the tournament against Willamette – the champion of the Northwest Conference tournament – on May 17 at 11 a.m.
