Joe Torres joined the Chapman baseball coaching staff in the fall of 2022. Torres returns home to California after spending the last two years in Tennessee.

Torres comes to Chapman from Walters State Community College, where he helped the Senators to back-to-back NJCAA World Series appearances in 2021 and 2022, including a third-place finish. Torres assisted in recruiting and worked primarily with the infield.

Torres also spent last summer in the Appalachian League Development Program as an Assistant Coach and Assistant Field Coordinator, helping MiLB players in the development.

His journey started at UC Davis, where Torres played for one season before becoming an Undergraduate Assistant Coach for the Aggies. While an undergraduate assistant, he helped in the bullpen and as the first base coach. He graduated from UC Davis in 2019 and earned hi Master's in Sports Administration from Tusculum in 2021.
