"Devo" is one of two remaining links on the coaching staff to Chapman's 2003 national championship, serving as outfield and third base coach for the Panthers for two seasons, including their magical run in '03. After that, he moved to Portland where he served as an assistant coach at Lewis & Clark College for five seasons before being named interim head coach for the 2010 season.

Prior to coaching at the collegiate level, Deovlet assisted Terescuk on two CIF championship teams in 2000 and '02 at Villa Park High School. He also guided the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox to the Cape Cod League championship in 2006.

Deovlet returned to Chapman in 2010 where, besides coaching baseball, he served as Alumni Opportunity Coordinator and Manager of Career and Industry in the Office of University Advancement.

He is returning to Chapman for a third stint as an assistant coach in 2023.
