Cutter earns D3Football.com Team of the Week honors

ORANGE, Calif. – Chapman University DB Cameron Cutter has been named to the D3Football.com Team of the Week for the week of Oct. 29. The senior cornerback single-handedly thwarted a pair of Leopard scoring drives with interceptions in the endzone and recovered a fumble in the Panthers' 38-12 win over the University of La Verne on Saturday night at Ernie Chapman Stadium.

Cutter also recovered a blocked field goal attempt and had three solo tackles for good measure. The senior now has four interceptions over the past three games and leads the Chapman defense with four picks and four pass breakups. He is also fifth on the team in tackles (26) and solo tackles (22).

With the win Chapman (5-2 overall, 4-1 SCIAC) clinched its first winning season since 2008 and is currently tied for second place in the SCIAC.

Cutter is the eighth Panther to earn the weekly honor this year, following sophomore RB Jeremiah McKibbins (Week 5) and junior KR Austin Maranville and the Chapman offensive line (Week 2).

Each week, D3football.com compiles nominations from sports information directors across the country and then votes on the D3football.com Team of the Week which is released each Tuesday.
