Chapman (4-1) at Cal Lutheran (2-3)
Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014
William Rolland Stadium
7 p.m.

Game Notes:

• Chapman is currently ranked in the D3football.com top-25 for the first time in the program's  history. The Panthers debut at No. 25 in the poll and sit tied atop the SCIAC standings with a 3-0 conference record. The last time Chapman earned any national ranking was in the Football Gazette top-25 back in 1996.

• The Chapman ground attack, which ranks No. 11 in the country in rushing with 275.3 YPG matches up well against a Cal Lu defense that is ranked last in the country allowing 311.4 ypg on the ground.

• Few teams have been more successful than the Panthers' offense is in the red zone, as Chapman is ranked No. 4 nationally in red zone efficiency. Of their 27 trips inside the opponent's 20 yard line, the Panthers have scored on 26 tries for an outstanding 96.3 percent, including 22 touchdowns.

• With an offense ranked No. 21 in the country in scoring (42.6 PPG) and a defense allowing a conference-low 19.8 PPG, the Panthers are out-scoring their opponents by an average of 22.8 PPG. Chapman has looked even more impressive in SCIAC play as the Panthers have scored 150 points in three conference games to their opponents' 44.

• The Panthers will look to continue their six-game road win streak as they head to William Rolland Stadium, where the Kingsmen rank second in the SCIAC in attendance (3,102), behind only Chapman which averages 3,580 fans at home. Chapman has lost eight straight in Thousand Oaks, where they have played every other year since 1998. Chapman's last win at Cal Lu came was Nov. 8, 1997.

• Senior QB Michael Lahey who earned pre-season All-America honors has lived up to the hype. Lahey ranks third in the country in passing efficiency, completing 71.8 percent of his passes, with a 9:1 TD/INT ratio.
