Wilbanks earns spot on CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

ORANGE, Calif. – In the classroom and on the field, senior Jacob Wilbanks has been plowing the way for success. The Panthers' team captain became the 38th football student-athlete and first since 2015 to be selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII Team.

Wilbanks has anchored the left side of an offensive line that has cleared the way for over-200 rushing yards in all eight games this year. The Panthers rushing offense ranks as the fifth-best in Division III statistically. They've allowed just nine sacks all year for the undefeated and 13th-ranked Panthers.

The senior captain and Integrated Educational Studies major out of San Jose, Calif., has a 3.8 cumulative GPA and is a three-time SCIAC All-Academic honoree. While leading the team in the classroom, he can also be seeing leading the team in their postgame celebrations on Saturday nights.

Wilbanks and the Panthers wrap up the regular season at La Verne on Saturday at 1 p.m. before making their third appearance in the NCAA Tournament as the SCIAC champions.
