Keefe again recognized as Preseason All-American

ORANGE, Calif. – Senior Dillon Keefe will be back to anchor the Chapman football defense and was recognized by D3football.com as a First Team Preseason All-American. Keefe was also recognized as a Preseason All-American by the College Football America Yearbook in 2020 despite the Panthers not competing due to the CoVID-19 pandemic.

In 2019, Keefe led the Panthers to a historic 10-1 season and an appearance in the Second Round of the NCAA Division III Football Championship. He had 72 tackles, including 17 for a loss and 10.5 sacks while forcing two fumbles. He also picked up a fumble and had his first career interception.

He was a 2019 First Team All-American and the SCIAC Defensive Player of the Year. In 2017, he was named the SCIAC Newcomer of the Year.

The Panthers open the season on Sep. 3 in Forest Grove, Ore. against Pacific University. Chapman's home-opener will follow on Sep. 11 with a 7 p.m. matchup against La Verne.
