Terriquez selected as SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week

ORANGE, Calif. – For the second week in a row, a member of the Chapman University football team was awarded the SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week. Alexander Terriquez took home the honor after double digit tackles in the win over Cal Lutheran.

As a middle linebacker, Terriquez had 10 tackles while leading the defense in almost completely shutting down the Cal Lutheran run game. The Kingsmen managed just 46 yards rushing on 31 attempts.

Terriquez also had his first sack of the season when he dropped Nick Lasher for a 13-yard loss.

The Panthers improved to 2-0 on the season after stopping a two-point conversion attempt in the final seconds for the 42-41 win. They head north to George Fox for a 7 p.m. kickoff this Saturday.
