Espinoza earns SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week honors

ORANGE, Calif — On Monday, Oct. 17 Nathaniel Espinoza was named SCIAC Football Offensive Athlete of the Week.

The junior quarterback was electric on the field following the electricity in the sky. Espinoza threw for 405 yards, adding 41 more on the ground as Chapman's leading rusher, helping the Panthers to a 38-28 victory over Redlands.

He added four touchdowns and a 70% completion rate to his ledger. His final touchdown was a 75-yard bomb down the left side of the field to Wyatt Hardin who cruised untouched into the end zone, extending the Panther lead to 38-21 at the end of the third quarter.

Espinoza will look to continue his dominance against Whittier this weekend, as the Panthers travel to Whittier to take on the Poets at 1 p.m.
