Riley named to D3hoops.com All-West Region team

ORANGE, Calif. – Senior forward Justin Riley has been named to the D3hoops.com All-West Region second team, making him the first Chapman University men's basketball player to earn All-West Region honors since 1997. Riley becomes just the fourth Chapman player to be named All-Region and third Panther to be selected to the second team. The last Chapman player to be named to the All-West Region team was Greg Evans.

Just recently, Riley earned his second-consecutive Association of Division III Independents Player of the Year award and was also named to the All-Independent first team after leading the Panthers to a 25-4 record – their best record in 75 years – and an NCAA playoff appearance. This season Riley averaged a team-high 15.9 points and seven rebounds per game and shot 58 percent from the floor.

The San Dimas, Calif., native led the Panthers in scoring, blocks, and rebounds. Riley also earned Capital One Academic All-District Honors this season with a 3.57 grade-point average studying broadcast journalism.

Riley graduates as Chapman's Division III career leader in rebounds and blocks and is second all-time in scoring with 1,384 points over his four-year career.
