NABC recognizes Mojaddidi, Chapman as part of Honors Court
ORANGE, Calif. – Recently graduated Chapman University men's basketball player Rabbie Mojaddidi has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) 2012-13 Honors Court for his off-the-court accomplishments as a student-athlete.
In addition, Chapman was one of 92 teams across all divisions (NCAA and NAIA) to receive the NABC's Team Academic Excellence Award for a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.0 for the academic year. It is the first such honor for the Panthers.
Mojaddidi, who earned his bachelor's degree in political science in May, accumulated a 3.34 grade-point average while a member of the Chapman basketball team. On the court, the senior guard appeared in three games and scored a career-high seven points, including a three-pointer, in 16 minutes in his only start of the season versus SCIAC champion Cal Lutheran.
The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents of student-athletes across the country and honors them for the hard work they exhibit in the classroom. In order to be named to the Honors Court a student-athlete must be a junior or senior member of the varsity team and achieve a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2.
In 2012-13, the NABC honored more than 700 student-athletes from 285 colleges and universities from around the nation.
