Haslam selected to NABC All-District First Team

ORANGE, Calif. – For the second season in a row, the Chapman University men's basketball team was represented on the National Association of Basketball Coaches' All-West District Team. Freshman Cam Haslam continued his accolade-ridden postseason with a First Team nod.

Haslam is the first Panther in Chapman history to be selected as a First Team All-District player from the NABC and did so following a stellar freshman campaign. His award follows the Second Team selection of Collin Zavrsnick following the 2014-15 season.

The leading freshman scorer in the NCAA Division III, Haslam averaged 19.5 points per game this season while leading the Panthers to both a SCIAC regular season and SCIAC Tournament title. He scored 21 points in each of the three postseason games, including the NCAA Tournament, to bring his average up to 19.5 and give him 13 games of 20-plus points on the season.

The First Team award comes less than a week after Haslam was announced as D3hoops.com's West Region Rookie of the Year and Second Team selection. He was also named the SCIAC Athlete of the Year after his breakout freshman campaign.
