Men's golf under par again in dual win over Whittier

ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University men's golf team finished under par for the third round in a row to defeat Whittier 287-298 in a dual match at Tustin Ranch. The Panthers' first three rounds to begin the fall season have all been under par.

Chapman had its best performance ever at its home course with a 287 (-1) in the victory. The single round competition was the third-best in Chapman's history, following only the two record-shattering rounds that opened the season.

Junior Griffin Tso and sophomore Brent Bjorndahl tied for the top spot individually as both finished three-under par with a 69. Their rounds both match alumnus Bryan Wise for the best round ever by a Panther at Tustin Ranch.

Whittier had three players finish one-over par to tie for third and Chapman finished off the team win as junior Dallas Haun shot a 74 (+2) and freshman Brody Hval shot a 75 (+3).

The Panthers wrap up their fall season in Arizona at the Embry-Riddle Invitational on Oct. 8-10.
