Lu places in top-10 at 6th Annal MJGA Invitational
ORANGE, Calif. - The Chapman University men's golf team finished fourth overall at the 6th Annual MJGA invitational in Las Vegas, Nevada. Freshman Bradley Lu led the Panthers with a top-10 finish. Twelve teams met to play at Aliante Golf Club for the two-day tournament.
Lu was one under par in the first round when he shot a 71 and one-over in the second round with a 73. He finished the tournament even with par at 144 - the best score of his young career - and was tied for fifth overall.
Juniors Avery Keating and Brody Hval performed well in the outing as well. Keating swung for a 76 (+4) on the first day and was two-over par the second day with a 74. He took 12th overall.
Hval finished eight- and seven- above par, respectively, in the two day tournament giving him an overall place of 32nd. Senior Ricky Hoefert and freshman Will Ellegard tied for 38th as both were 18-over with a 162.
The Panthers will be back at the end of the month on March 30th for the West Cup in La Verne.
