Golf competes at SCIAC #2

POMONA, Calif. — Men's and women's golf competed at the SCIAC #2 tournament this weekend at Mountain Meadows Golf Club, ending with both teams placing seventh.

The top individual finish for golf came on the men's side as Arthur Venderby shot a 73 and 75 to pace the Panthers in 16th place. Conner Conley was the only other Panther to place in the top-30, finishing 26th.

On the women's side, Rachel Truong ended her round jumping from 20th to 18th after the final round, shooting back-to-back 78's. 

Emily Cho and Danielle DeKock also placed in the top-30. Cho finished 25th and DeKock ended in 29th. Both players improved in their final round by at least four strokes, Cho improved from an 84 to 80. DeKock shot an 87 day one, and finished up with an 82.

The Panthers are off until April 23rd when they will start the SCIAC championships.
