Kimmel SCIAC Athlete of the Year headlines Chapman's five All-SCIAC selections

ORANGE, Calif. – Senior captain Boston Kimmel headlined the men's soccer All-Conference Team, earning Athlete of the Year for the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC). Junior Marco Saglimbeni joined Kimmel on the First Team while junior Connor Tobia and sophomores Elliot Braund and Lorenzo Belassen earned Second Team recognition.

Kimmel is the first Chapman student-athlete in men's soccer history to earn the SCIAC Athlete of the Year Award. This is Kimmel's third consecutive season earning All-SCIAC recognition in addition to earning the NSCAA All-Far West Region Team in his junior season. This season, the midfielder ranked in the top-five of five offensive categories in the SCIAC: second in assists (7), fifth in goals (7), second in shots (66), third in shots on goal (33), and fourth in points (21).

Saglimbeni was an offensive powerhouse for the Panthers this year and earned first team recognition for the second year in a row, ranking third in the SCIAC and leading the Panthers with nine goals. Saglimbeni started in all 21 matches for the Panthers, ranked second on the team with five assists and scored two game-winning goals. He tallied six of his goals and all five of his assists in SCIAC matches, ranking fourth in the conference with 17 points.

Defenders Tobia, Braund and Belassen anchored the Chapman defense this season maintaining a 0.83 goals-against-average, which ranked third in the conference with just 20 goals allowed. This was the second time Tobia was honored with Second Team recognition in his three year career at Chapman and the first career honors for Braund and Belassen.
