Panthers win for fourth time in six matches

ORANGE, Calif. –  The Chapman University men’s tennis team continued to roll on Monday afternoon, winning for the fourth time in its past six matches after defeating visiting George Fox University (Ore.) 6-3 at the Chapman Tennis Courts. The Panthers again received strong play from their singles players, winning five of the six matches against the Bruins.

The Panthers’ other four singles wins were all in straight sets. Senior Christian Isip won his fourth match of the season from the No. 2 position. Sophomore Alex Klein, junior Tyler McCusker and senior Luciano Rodriguez also won in the Nos. 4, 5, and 6 positions.

Isip and Tevlin teamed up to earn Chapman’s only point in doubles play with a win in the No. 1 match. The duo defeated Juan Munoz and Pedro Munoz 9-7 to win back-to-back matches for the first time this season and improved to 4-2 in their past six doubles matches.
