Panthers fall to Polar Bears
ORANGE, Calif — The Chapman Panthers fell to the Bowdoin Polar Bears, 7-2, on Tuesday, Mar. 15, despite an outstanding individual performance from Caleb Wilkins.
Wilkins won his singles and doubles matches on the day. In his singles match, Wilkins fell behind early, losing the first set 2-6. However, he bounced back and took the second set convincingly, 6-1. The rubber match was much closer, but Wilkins pulled out the 6-4 victory.
He and Harry Cohen, his doubles partner, continue to win as well. The duo took their match 8-7.
With the loss, Chapman falls to 2-4 on the season. The Polar Bears improve to 2-0.
The Panthers look to bounce back on Thursday, Mar. 17 when they take on Wheaton (Mass.).
