Men's tennis picks up big win over Mary Washington
ORANGE, Calif. — Men's tennis earned a big victory over Mary Washington on Sunday, Feb. 26 to the tune of a 6-3 victory.
Three key three-set victories in singles clutched the victory for the Panthers. Andy Hess won his third set 7-6 after dropping the second set 6-0. Tommy Hays won two straight sets after losing the first 3-6, finishing out 6-2 and 6-1. Danny Marsh also took home a three-set win, 2-6, 7-5 and 6-3.
Chapman picked up another point in singles with a Josh Blinder win in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.
While Caleb Wilkins didn't pick up a point in singles, he earned a tight win alongside Mac Caldwell in an 8-7 doubles victory. Blinder picked up his second victory with Ben Jorgenson, 8-3.
The Panthers, now 2-0, will return to the Anderson Tennis Center to Mar. 4 to take on Pomona-Pitzer.
