Men's tennis drops top-20 battle to Bowdoin

ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University men's tennis team fell 8-1 to No. 12 Bowdoin in a matchup of top-20 teams. The 17th-ranked Panthers fell to 4-2 on the, facing ranked teams in four of their six matches.

Danny Marsh picked up Chapman's lone point with a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 4 singles. He improved to 5-1 on the season with the straight set win.

The Polar Bears swept the three doubles points and quickly clinched the match with three straight set victories at the top of the singles lineup. Tommy Hays pushed his match into a third set but eventually fell 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (10-5).

The Panthers are scheduled to take on Whitman tomorrow at 1 p.m. to continue their month-long homestand.
