Nine Panthers named to WWPA All-Academic Team

ORANGE, Calif. – Led by four-time award winner senior Pierre Masson, a total of nine Chapman University men's water polo players have been named to the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) All-Academic Team for the 2011-2012 school year.

Panthers' utility Masson, carrying a 3.40 grade-point average in history, topped the list with his fourth WWPA award, which honors players who carried a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade-point average and played in at least 50 percent of the team's games. Not only was Masson named to the WWPA All-Academic team for the fourth straight year, but he also earned academic honors from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) four times.

Junior goalie Taylor Roszkos (3.60 in Digital Arts) was named to the team for the third year in a row. Senior driver David Carson, sophomore driver Dylan Trumbull (3.22 in Studio Art), and senior 2M Nick Van Nordheim (3.36 in Business Administration) rounded out the list of multiple award recipients with their second awards each.
