Men's water polo returns to SCIAC Tournament

ORANGE, Calif. – The No. 7 Chapman University men's water polo team heads into the SCIAC Tournament this weekend, hosted by Caltech at Pasadena City College. The Panthers (4-18, 2-6 in SCIAC) came in a three way tie for sixth place but were seeded No. 7 based on head-to-head match ups.

Chapman will play No. 2 Whittier (18-11, 7-1 in SCIAC) at 1:30p.m. on Fri. Nov. 18. The last time these two teams faced off the Poets won 11-9.

Reigning SCIAC men's water polo player of the week and Chapman's leading scorer Jeff O'Brien will lead the Panthers into the tournament. The junior center scored six goals against the No. 1 and No. 3 teams in Division III in the last week of SCIAC play.

Spectator Parking: Spectators are fine to park in parking lot #3 or #4 located on the corner of Hill Ave and Del Mar Blvd. (see the PCC Campus Map below). You will need to purchase the $2 parking permit from the ticket booths in the lots. Both cash and credit cards are accepted. Designated

Entrance: There is only one designated entrance into the PCC Aquatic Center located in the southwest corner, and all participants, officials, staff, and spectators are asked to use this main entrance of the facility at all times. All spectators will be asked to show a SCIAC ID or purchase a wristband for the day ($10.00), prior to entering the facility.

Tournament Entrance Fees:
SCIAC ID (Students, Faculty & Staff) - Free
Children 12 and under - Free
Military and Senior Citizens - $5.00
All others $10.00 per day
There will be NO All-Tournament Passes available.

Merchandise: A limited supply of SCIAC Men's Water Polo Championship t-shirts will be available for sale during the event.

Concessions: There will be a concessions stand located near the main entrance of the aquatic center for spectators to purchase refreshments and snacks.

Participant Credentials: Credentials are required for all tournament participants, officials and staff and will be provided to teams upon arrival at the pool on Friday. Credentials must be displayed at all times except during competition.
