Men's water polo earns academic recognition

ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University men's water polo team earned academic recognition from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches. The Panthers earned team recognition along with 11 student-athletes earning individual recognition.

The Panthers posted a 3.07 team GPA in the fall semester to earn the team recognition. Sophomore Brad Wilson led the individual honorees with Outstanding recognition – honoring those above a 3.71 GPA.

Ethan Walter, Jared Bernardi, Andy Colmignoli and Garrett Wilson were all honored in the Superior category for GPAs between a 3.41 and 3.7. Six more Panthers were honored in the Excellent category for having between a 3.11 and a 3.4 GPA. Jack Gregov, Joshua Benitez, Andy Anguiano, Evan Belli and Daniel Kavesh were the Excellent honorees.

In total, the ACWPC recognized 35 men's water polo teams and 450 student-athletes from all three NCAA divisions for their work in the classroom.
