Kelly awarded second SCIAC weekly honor

ORANGE, Calif. – For the second time this season, Jillian Kelly has earned SCIAC Pitcher of the Week honors. Kelly was dominant in the doubleheader sweep of Occidental.

The freshman tossed a complete game in the first game to earn her fourth win of the season and then recorded the final out of the second game to earn her first career save.

Kelly struck out four and allowed just one run on six hits in the game one victory, lowering her ERA to 1.28 to start the 2022 season. This season she is averaging 7.68 strikeouts per seven innings and limiting opponents to a .149 batting average.

The Panthers take on Cal Lutheran in a SCIAC series this weekend with a Saturday doubleheader in Thousand Oaks and a Sunday single game at El Camino Real Park.
