Jue earns head coaching victory No. 200

REDLANDS, Calif. – Chapman University women's basketball head coach Carol Jue earned career win No. 200 in the Panthers' 76-51 win over Marian University (Wis.) at the Currier Gym on the campus of the University of Redlands on Friday night.

All but 15 of those victories have come at the helm of the Chapman women's program over the past nine and a half seasons. Jue is already the Panthers' all-time leader in head coaching victories with a record of 185-70. She spent the 2002-03 season as interim head coach at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges where she went 15-10, running her career totals to 200-80 overall.

Chapman (9-2) jumped out to a 37-15 halftime lead and cruised from there led by junior G Kimi Takaoka who earned a game-high 16 points, including four three-pointers. Sophomore G Andrea Villanueva and freshman F Sandra Gao added 12 points apiece.

The Panthers appear poised for another postseason run under Jue as they approach the midway point of the season. Chapman has made the NCAA Tournament in seven of the first nine seasons of Jue's tenure and the Panthers have finished above .500 every year.
