Huntley-Robertson awarded SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week
ORANGE, Calif. – Freshman Liv Huntley-Robertson was honored as the SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week after helping the Panthers to a pair of SCIAC wins last week.
Chapman allowed just seven goals per game last week, holding Redlands to five goals on Saturday. Huntley-Robertson picked up seven ground balls and caused four turnovers to lead the strong defensive effort.
She picked up six groundballs and caused three turnovers in the 10-9 win over Whittier that cemented Chapman's hold on third place in the SCIAC standings. She helped limit Redlands to just three first-half shots while the Panthers quickly built a sizeable lead.
Chapman heads to SCIAC-leading Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday to take on the Sagehens at 7 p.m. Chapman is in third place in the SCIAC with a 5-2 record and five matches remaining in the regular season.
