Women's tennis drops match to Trinity

IRVINE, Calif. – The Chapman University women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 match to visiting Trinity (Conn.) on Tuesday. The Panthers captured their point at No. 2 doubles.

Sophomore Nicole Fouts and freshman Raven Hampton won the Panthers' lone point with a 9-8 win in the No. 2 doubles match. Trinity took the top doubles match 8-2 and the No. 3 match 8-0.

The visitors went on to sweep all six singles matches in straight sets to capture the win.

Chapman was playing its third match in as many days. The Panthers will be back on the courts on Friday to take on Vassar at 11 a.m. at the Anaheim Tennis Center.
