Women's tennis cruises past Wheaton

ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University women's tennis team breezed past Wheaton College 9-0 on Friday. The match was rescheduled from the rained out match earlier this week.

The match started with a quick doubles sweep for the Panthers. Aliya Allyn and Goldie La won 8-2 in the top doubles match before the Nos. 2 and 3 teams finished out the sweep by not dropping a single game between them.

The dominant performance continued through singles, where the Panthers won all six matches in straight sets. Allyn won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 while Golin took the 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 2. Olivia Desso did not drop a set on court four. Ava Tyler won 6-1, 6-3 on court five and Lucy Erickson won 6-1, 6-2 on court two and the sweep was complete with Libby Leal's 6-4, 6-1 win on court six.

The Panthers are back on the court tomorrow to take on Middlebury at 11 a.m.
