Allyn earns second All-SCIAC honor

ORANGE, Calif. – Senior Aliya Allyn earned her second career All-SCIAC selection after being named to the Second Team, the conference announced on Friday. Allyn earned the award after leading Chapman into the SCIAC Tournament as the No. 4 seed.

Allyn played at the top of the Chapman singles lineup, taking on some of the best players in Division III through all seven conference matches. Her win over Emily Zhang of Caltech clinched the upset team victory for Chapman and ended being the deciding factor in getting the Panthers the No. 4 seed in the SCIAC Tournament, which starts today.

Allyn also went 3-4 in doubles matches during the SCIAC season, including a No .1 doubles win in the Caltech match with Alexis Golin.

Chapman takes on top-seeded CMS in the SCIAC Tournament today at 2 p.m. in Claremont, Calif.
