Ford leads Chapman water polo All-American quartet

ORANGE, Calif. – A school-record four Chapman University women's water polo players have been named to the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) Division III All-America team for the 2015 season. Senior utility Riley Ford headlined the Panthers' quartet, becoming just the second player in Chapman history to earn First Team honors.

Senior driver Emily Holmquist was named to the second team, while senior goalie Kirsten Spicer and junior utility Alison Quincy received honorable mention.

Ford earned her third All-America selection and wrapped her career this season with a team-leading 56 goals, 49 steals and 40 earned ejections, while adding 16 assists. The senior ranks third all-time in school history with 182 goals and second with 210 steals. The All-SCIAC honoree is the first Panther since Kristina Eich in 2005 to earn First Team All-America honors.

Holmquist earned Second Team All-America honors for the first time in her career. Like Ford, Holmquist was an All-SCIAC selection in 2015 after ranking second on the team with 30 assists and third with 41 goals. She also had 35 earned ejections, 33 steals, and a 25.8 shooting percentage.

Chapman's all-time goalie blocks leader, Spicer received honorable mention – her first such honor. She set career-highs with 226 blocks and 40 steals. She is also a two-time Capital One Academic All-District VIII honoree. Meanwhile, Quincy earned All-America honors for the second time in her career and the first since her freshman year in 2013. The junior ranked second on the team with 50 goals and added 17 assists for the Panthers.

Chapman finished the 2015 season with 14 wins and ranked No. 3 in Division III – the program's highest finish ever.
