Peterson selected as SCIAC Athlete of the Week

ORANGE, Calif. – Senior women's water polo player Ellie Peterson was selected as the SCIAC Athlete of the Week after her dominant performance against Whittier this past Saturday.

Peterson led the team to a crucial 12-11 victory that lifted the Panthers into the No. 4 spot in the conference rankings. The Orange, Calif. native scored a season-high six goals in the effort. She also tallied three steals and two earned ejections to help the Panthers to their third consecutive SCIAC victory.

Peterson currently leads the squad and ranks sixth in the SCIAC with 40 goals this season. She also ranks tied for fifth in the conference with 56 points.
