Hattori earns third career All-America selection

ORANGE, Calif. – The season may have been cut short but Chapman University women's water polo junior Audrey Hattori's was still recognized as a Second Team All-American. The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches released its NCAA Division III All-American Teams on Wednesday.

Hattori earned her third career All-America nod in her third season at Chapman – making her just the third Panther to become a three-time All-American. Her Second Team recognition duplicates the same honor after her breakout freshman season. She took Honorable Mention after her sophomore season in 2019.

The Santa Monica, Calif. native continued to lead the Panthers in scoring as she had done the previous two years. In the 13-match season, Hattori scored 26 goals and assisted on 14 more. She ranked sixth in the SCIAC for goals scored and second in total points (40). Defensively, she was one of the best on the team with 24 steals and led the squad with 49 drawn exclusions.

COVID-19 shortened the season to just 13 matches in 2020. The ACWPC awarded its annual All-American teams despite the short season. No All-SCIAC teams will be awarded with just three SCIAC matches being played before the abrupt end of the season.
