Chiang, Bridges combine for nine points in win

ORANGE, Calif. — Women's water polo gathered a much needed win over Macalester at home, 11-5, on Saturday, March 11.

The Panthers played a SCIAC contest earlier in the day against Whittier, losing 12-10, so they looked to bounce back and end the day on a high note.

And that they did, dominating Macalester for four quarters, leading by seven at one point midway through the fourth quarter. The Panthers were helped by Camille Chiang and Julia Bridges combining for five goals, and Bridges adding four assists.

At one point through the first two quarters, Chapman rattled off six consecutive goals, leading this one in commanding fashion the entire way.

While Chiang led with three goals, three Panthers scored two goals, Bridges, Riley Eaves and Jamie Chin.

Chapman, now 4-12 overall with the win, will look to continue this solid play next week as they host Connecticut College and Occidental on Wednesday at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
