Panther pair recognized as ACWPC All-Americans

ORANGE, Calif. – A pair of Panthers earned All-American honors from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches. Camille Chiang and Alyssa Fricker both were recognized as All-American for the second time in their respective careers.

Chiang – now a two-time All-American and three-time All-SCIAC selection – led the Panthers with 104 total points in 2023 to earn Second Team recognition. She scored 43 goals and assisted on 61 more while also leading the with 65 steals. In her career, Chiang scored 118 goals and assisted on 129 more while tallying 156 steals. She ranks fourth all-time in assists.

Fricker's first season at Chapman landed her All-American Second Team honors after being recognized as an Honorable Mention All-American as a freshman at Augustana. She scored a team-best 69 goals in just 20 matches while assisting on 21 more. She scored on more than 40 percent of the shots she took and also ranked third on the team with 34 steals

The Panthers finished the 2023 season 9-19 overall. It was the Panthers' first full season with multiple All-Americans since 2018.
