Hart tops school 8k record

FULLERTON, Calif. – Chapman men's cross country runner Anthony Hart broke the all-time Chapman men's 8k record at Cal State Fullerton this morning. The men's team took sixth overall in the Titan Invitational.

Chapman senior Chris Reid previously secured the record-breaking 8k time at the 2015 NCAA Division III Nationals. Hart topped the mark with a 25.53.1 placing 30th overall in the Titan race as a junior. Hart was trailed by Jacob Millen who took 58th with a 26:26.9. Gill Bothwell placed 63rd and Aiden White placed 70th. 

Freshman Kate Miller led the women's team in the 5k race placing 45th with a 19:47.4. Classmate Kayla Almeida was close behind with a 19:56.3 in 49th.

The Panthers head to the SCIAC Championships at Pomona College on Sat., Oct. 30 at 8 a.m.
